COACHING - the under-accessed leadership style

Coaching is a hot topic in the business world, yet few managers understand what it actually means, in the business sense. Our definition, and the one around which this workshop is designed, is as follows: “Coaching is an interactive process that guides an employee toward meeting his or her own challenges, thus becoming more professionally competent and personally satisfied.” Through the coaching process, an employee becomes more self-reliant, learning to take full responsibility and address personal challenges with new confidence.  An ultimate aim in a coaching relationship is for the individual to achieve far more and become more accomplished than he/she perceived possible.
